Thatched River Tents

Where safari-style Thatched River Tents meet the expansive River Nile.

Located next to the River Nile their location is what sets our Thatched River Tents apart from our other accommodation. The tents can be single, twin or double and have their own private bathroom with shower and chemical toilet (due to proximity of the river) and an outside porch with comfortable furniture. Bring your binoculars and a cold drink, this spot is excellent for all types of wildlife and bird watching.

Whether you need to charge your phone, tablet, or any other device, our charging stations offer a reliable and easy way to ensure your gadgets are always ready for your adventures. USB ports are located in the safety deposit boxes in our accomodation (Thatched Cottages and Thatched Safari Tents). Further charging stations are located in the pool lounge and at the main bar. Please note that the lodge operates on solar power 24/7 and the system cannot handle high wattage appliances such as hair dryers.

Murchison River Lodge serves an early bird breakfast (5:45 - 7:00) and a hot breakfast (7:00 - 9:00). Lunch is a daily changing menu (2 courses) and dinner is a daily changing menu (3 courses). Vegetarian options are always available and we cater for specific dietary requirements upon request - please advise us at the time of your booking.
