Tour operator, Wild Frontiers, run professional boat trips along the River Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. Their office at Paraa (the area in the park where the vehicle bridge crosses the Nile) is on the south bank of the Nile and a 25 minute drive from the lodge.

Boat trip to Murchison Falls; Wild Frontiers run a daily scheduled trip to the base of Murchison Falls with pods of hippos and basks of crocodiles guaranteed to be seen from the boat, while elephants, giraffes and buffalo are regular visitors to the edge of the river. Stunning birdlife is never far from the water, allowing for spectacular photography opportunities.

Boat trip to the Delta; Wild Frontiers also offer a scenic 3 - 4 hour boat trip downstream to the Delta with a pickup straight from the lodge. This is a very different trip, not only for the contrasting scenery and papyrus islands, but you also have a high chance of seeing the ancient looking Shoebill Stork.

Taking a boat trip with Wildfrontiers, or the Uganda Wildlife Authority, along the infamous River Nile is a highlight of any safari to Murchison Falls National Park and one we cannot recommend enough.
